Mining Pools
Mine in a pool, or on your own.
ZIRA pays every miner directly, so a pool is never required. If you would rather combine your earnings with other miners, a pool collects everyone's ZIR and shares it out by contribution, while your machine keeps doing the real work.
You earn directly by default
Every ZIRA miner is paid straight to their own wallet, on-chain, every few minutes. There is no operator in the middle and nothing extra to run. Most miners never need a pool at all. A pool is simply an option for those who prefer to smooth their earnings by combining with others.
How a pool works
A pool is an optional layer on top of normal mining. You keep mining exactly as you do now, and you point your reward at the pool.
- Keep mining normallyRun the app with Mining and Storage on. Your machine answers the field and builds its own trust, exactly as it would on its own.
- Point your payout at the poolInstead of earning to your own wallet, you direct your ZIR to the pool's address. The work is still yours; only where the reward lands changes.
- The pool shares it outThe pool gathers the ZIR from everyone it represents and distributes it by how much each miner contributed. Every share is settled on-chain, so the split is auditable.
What stays yours
Your machine and node
You keep running your own hardware and your own ZIRA node. A pool never takes custody of your rig.
Only rewards are shared
A pool can only combine the ZIR of miners who opt in. It cannot mine on your behalf or claim work it did not do.
Auditable on-chain
Every payout and every split is on the public ledger. You can verify your share in the Explorer.
Leave anytime
Point your payout back to your own wallet and you are earning directly again. No lock-in.
For pool operators
Integrating ZIRA takes no custom miner software and no stratum server. Your members run the standard ZIRA node and do the real inference; you aggregate the rewards of miners who opt in and distribute them, reading balances and sending payouts over the public gateway. ZIR is a plain account-based token, so it fits an existing payout engine. Open source, permissionless, no partnership required.
